No news on a release date yet but the Jailbreak made by Comex for all devices that run iOS 4.01 and below (THAT INCLUDES THE NEW iPhone 4!) is apparently being beta tested by a closed group and is called SEDNA!?!


From looking at the screenshots some more it looks like “Sedna” will be a one button jailbreak much like it’s “Spirit” predecessor. This means there should be no need for time consuming downloads and building / restoring any Custom IPSW’s to our iDevices so Jailbreaking should be quick and painless. Most important to me is that I won’t lose out on all the time I’ve took to setup my iPhone 4 with Apps and Music to exactly the way I want it (32gb takes some time!) because this Jailbreak should mod what’s already on our devices.

I’m really looking forward to using “Sedna” and want to say thanks to all the guys involved in making it.

There is no mention of a release date anywhere as yet, and there probably never will be as it would cause too much pain for the team to give themselves a deadline and then miss it (Just Google “What happened to GeoHot?”) The “Sedna” jailbreak will just appear when it is ready and all the bugs are ironed out. Please can nobody pester or flame any of the dev’s involved and just wait patiently like the rest of us.
