I know I said that was me for the evening but I gotta share this one last thing with you guys.
Gamelofts new 9MM game for iOS is a universal app for both iPhone and iPad and it kicks-ass!
Have a look
Go and get it, you wing regret it!
I finally got round to it but now sM3e.com has a swanky new Share Bar at the bottom of each post and page giving you the ability to share to Facebook, Twitter and the all new Google Plus.
I have also at last upgraded my comments system to the fantastic Disqus System meaning you can now add comments using a Disqus, Facebook, Twitter, Google, Yahoo or OpenID account and receive notification when you get a reply!
Why not try the new system out to let me know what you think?
Also as a special treat to myself and my 10,000+ fans that regularly visit the site I am thinking of spending some time on the theme and regenerating the blog as sM3e v2.0. What do you think is good, what do you think is bad and what would you like to see? Im hoping to be able to add at least one new blog post per day to this new setup and want it to be kick-ass yet user friendly and most of all stay with the “Keeping Tech Simple” Moto. Anyone out there good with graphic design? Fancy having a play with the sM3e.com logo? Go-ahead, see what you can create, if I like it I may use it on the site and will always give credit where it is due.
Thats all for today. Come back tomorrow for a roundup of all the latest Apple Rumours around this supposedly new budget entry iPhone to replace the iPod range?!? I know I doubt it too.
Cheers Guys

Well, it seems that one lucky jailbreaker’s been following Comex’ Twitter account, coming across a post — since pulled — featuring the image shown up there in the header. Of course, if it’s legitimate, Comex has all but guaranteed he’s cracked the code for an iPad 2 exploit. The nexus404 blog (a.k.a. TFTS) has the following, posted by an iFans user called Fruity:
I was on comex’s Twitter about an hour ago when he posted a single image link. I was surprised to see it was what appears to be a flyer for his new jailbreak? When I reloaded the Twitter page it was gone completely. I still had the image in another tab, though, so I saved it to my computer. Perhaps this wasn’t intended to get out yet or maybe there was a delay? I don’t know, I’m just looking at the image unsure if he’s really intending to release it tomorrow or not. This is certainly weird.
Weird indeed.
And, It could be real. Or it could be fake. For those wondering about the featured QR code, it does link back to Comex’ Twitter feed, but that doesn’t rule out the possibility of a forgery or some other manner of hoax.
Still, tomorrow could be a huge day for jailbreak users everywhere.
We’ll just have to wait and see…
(from AppAdvice)
For anyone thats wondering why I havent update the blog recently it has been because I have been working on a new clients website

Also I have been in contact with the Gadget Show regarding an exciting challenge they are getting involved in, repairing games console at home to save/make money. I could possibly be going to London next week to help Suzi Perry complete her challenge or possibly be helping via Skype! I will keep you all posted and be sure to watch the Gadget Show to see me there if I am!
I am publishing this here for the people that missed it on FaceBook.
This was originally written on Thur 17th Feb 2011 and Id like to add that clearly there is nothing out there. I didn’t win the lottery, I’m still ill and now the wife and son are too. Plus my 4 month old baby now sounds like a 70 year old woman that has just smoked 1000 cigarettes.
ENJOY….
Hello,
Hello child,
“child?” I hear you say, “why are you calling me child?”
Come take my hand child, hold it tight and let me take you on a journey. Come with me down this winding path, a path through the strange garden that is my thoughts, a journey into my mind. All will be explained.
Hear my plea, this plea goes out to the powers that be. Whether that is Evolution, God, Allah, Buddha, the Horse-faced god with 7 arms and 1 eye that regularly visits my dreams, his royal dudeness, the Big Bang, Karma, Fate, the Stars, Zeus, the Giant Green Head, Satan, aliens from another planet that put us here as some strange experiment, the Matrix or however the hell we all happen to be exactly who we are and where we are right this second.
“A plea? A plea for what?”
Now don’t get me wrong, I don’t exactly have it hard, each mans pain is each their own. I have no life threatening illness, or hideous disfigurement (although some of you will joke that I have always been hideous anyhoo) nor am I starving or in poverty. In fact I have it pretty cooshty, will a gorgeous wife, 2 lovely kids, a magnificent house, we both have jobs (that we enjoy), just enough money to tide us over month to month and most of the latest mod-cons.
“so what’s your beef?”
Well to be honest, after reading what I’ve just written and now that it’s 16 hours after I started thinking/writing this, (yes I was up at 4am this morning! I will divulge on this some more later) (and yes for the cleverer of you out there, now you now know that I am writing this part at 8pm! It has been a hard hard day!) I am nowhere near as cross or feel as tested as I did earlier. I am however much much more tired and a firm believer that people should finish what they start.
“Okay, okay, just cut to the chase! I gotta be getting myself to bed sometime soon!”
I feel life has handed me a serious of tests, hurdles, minor inconveniences if I may. They are all small things but I could really do without feeling ill and run down (nothing serious, just a bad case of man flu) since last Friday (that’ll be a week tomorrow). Then there’s the guilt that I feel that my 3 month old daughter is just as ill as am (after catching it off me) and had my wife and me were therefore up and out of bed at 4am this morning as there was no sign of rest. Not to mention the insensitive dickwad that scratched my new car from front to back while it was parked outside my house and then not have the balls to fess up to his mistake (you know who you are and a smite you!!!) Add on the massive redundancies and cuts that both my wife and my own employer are having to make because of the ridiculous state of the UKs economy right now and the governments retarded attempt at a resolve by spending less on the community, cutting funding and then raising taxes, making living costs unbearable and uncontrollable! (Imagine the atmosphere that creates in the workplace when you and your closest colleagues jobs are on the line!) Plus the fact that the wife and I don’t have a spare minute in the day to spend any actual time together to do something as simple as have a hug in-front of the telly without falling asleep due to exhaustion, yet alone do anywhere near half of life’s everyday tasks whilst trying to raise a baby, get a 7 year old through the moulding years of primary school and hold down 2 jobs without going completely insane. Then as a gentle slap in the face as if not getting up at 4am with an ill baby, a seriously sleep deprived and slightly crazy (yet still amazing) wife, feeling at the peak of my own illness, on the morning of our 7 year anniversary plus one of the most important days at my current job to date (where I have to be seriously on form) and on fucking big bin day nonetheless (the one where you have to put out the wheely bin and 3 different recycling boxes!!) I then get dealt the “random bought of diarrhoea card”! Well to be blunt I’ve had enough! I’ve passed your tests and would really like a break. I’m not asking for a miracle, nothing greedy like winning the lottery (unless you can help out with that) or a letter from one of my many debts saying they got it wrong and not only do I get back all the money I’ve paid them but they actually owe me the outstanding balance (I can dream!), or an 8th day of the week where children sleep for 24 hours and parents can rest without a care in the world. I’m just asking for a little bit of luck and a positive vibe. Maybe find a 10er on the floor, a promotion at work, an award winning business idea or just something to make life a little more relaxing.
Anyway enough of my whinging, whatever’s out there, give a man a break please?
Check this out guys! Hot off the press and announced in Tokyo earlier today the

Posted last night
Evening folks,
Apple.com has an interesting homescreen showing stating that
That you’ll never forget.”
“Check back here tomorrow for an exciting announcement from iTunes.”
This is followed by different times for different time-zones worldwide.
What could it mean? What could be coming?
Theories point to iTunes streaming a-la Apples own Spotify, or possibly cloud storage of our own media? Some people think it could be free MobileMe. I personally think it’s something to do with cloud based Media be it supplied by Apple or cloud storage of our own files. Whatever it is I can’t wait to see. Let’s just hope it’s something big and not something we all already new about like the release of iOS 4.2.

No to iTunes streaming, nope to free MobileMe, nothing technologically amazing was announced at all.
Instead iTunes now carry the Beatles back catalogue. Yeah that’s cool and all but hardly the sort of news that makes today a day I’ll never forget! Certainly not the bombshell half the Internet was hoping for! I mean let’s be serious, what self respecting Beatles fan doesn’t already have all their music on MP3 for use on their iPod, MP3 player etc, however they chose to obtain it???
I like many others am disappointed Apple, next time either don’t hype it up as much or give us something that’s truly worth the hype.
So much for Taylors EPIC everything on iTune will be free for the day theory eh
As a proud father of a seriously enthusiastic 7 year old gamer and being lucky enough for us to have an Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and a Wii in the household we have somewhat of a Dilemma regarding what Xmas Present to get him.
He has asked for Microsoft Kinect with Kinectimals and a multi-player sports game. I whole heartedly agreed with this as the 360 is in our Lounge and I know I would quite like to have the whole Minority-Report-esque setup for our movies and media setup in the lounge. However we use the Playstation 3 almost exclusively for Movies because of the Blu-Ray, the masses of built in adjustable options for movie buffs, the remote is better etc etc. (The playstation is also used for gaming however is really only for PS3 Exclusives due to personal preference of the 360′s menu’s, controllers and Xbox Live (Gamerscore etc))
After doing some research today into the cost’s and user setups for both new platforms I was surprised at what I found out and feel this has swayed my decision towards the Playstation Move. I have written up my findings here, in the hope that it helps out anyone making their decisions on what to buy and to have an open place for people to chat about their experiences of each device.
£129 on its own (comes with Kinect Adventures) or £190 with 2 extra games (Kinect Sports & Dance Central that you cannot change as it is part of a Microsoft endorsed deal) these games do not include Kinectimals so I would have to purchase that at £35. That means a total cost of £225 which is way more than we want to spend on an Xmas Present. To try and justify it we have tried to find out the pro’s & con’s of owning Kinect. Sadly we do not know anyone with it yet nor could I find anywhere that has a Demo one setup to show off all its wonders. However I got to look at the box for one today in our local Curries and found out two fundamental flaws in the system.
If, like me, you have the Orginal style Xbox 360 (not the new Slimline one) you will need an extra plug socket for Kinect as the USB ports on the 360 do not supply enough power for the Kinect Sensor. That means yet more cables all over you TV Unit setup! (If you have a Slimline Xbox 360 there is a special USB Port just for the Kinect by-passing the need for any extra power cables)
Cost!! (Wait until you see the cost of Move)
THIS IS THE BIGGY
Now correct me if I’m wrong but I was shocked when I read this. No-where on any of the advertisements has Microsoft made this clear but on the back of the box it says that you need 6 FT MINIMUM between you and your television for a one player game and whats more you need 8 FT MINIMUM for multiplayer! Now thats ok if you live in a huge open plan house but realistically how many of us Brits have that much clear space for standing and jumping around between our sofas and the Telly? I’ve since measured the space in my living room and have a little under 5ft of free space ruling out any kind of multi-player Kinect gaming on my current setup. I would have to rearrange and re-wire my whole living room to accommodate Microsofts Minimum Requirements. On top of this lighting is also hugely important for facial recognition to work with Kinect and there are many reports of night-time use of Kinect being problematic. On the brighter side I have researched some more and found out that sitting on my sofa I could control the Kinect Hub (controller-less use of the XBOX Dashboard) but it would appear theres no chance of anyone enjoying any gaming. This has created some serious doubt in my mind over what place Kinect has in my household before I build my future extension and new living room (which will have to be Kinect Friendly) because of these doubts I have had a quick look at the alternative ……….
I can get a MOVE Starter Kit for £30 from very.co.uk using this promo code ZZ551, I can then get an extra controller for £30, Eyepets for £17 and Playstation Move Sports Champions for £25. That totals £103 LESS THAN HALF THE PRICE OF KINECT and alot of the games I already have now have patches to enable Move Support.
Playstation Move does have a couple of Pro’s over Kinect, these mostly being that you do have buttons, motion detecting mechanics inside the move controller making it much more precise and the impressive way that the Playstation can super-impose anything into the real world via the camera and tracking of the Orb in the players hand.
Again I haven’t had the opportunity to try out Playstation Move as yet and that is the next thing I am planning on doing before I make my final decision. I want to find somewhere I can try them both out before I make my purchase and when I do I will post my findings here.
I am surprised how much more suited the Playstation Move is to my needs at home especially as I have always favoured my Xbox 360 and anything Microsoft over Sony. This has also left me disheartened and disappointed with the limitations and restrictions of Microsofts Kinect. I certainly am swayed towards the Move more so now because of my findings but would really like to hear from some users of each device before I make my decision. Inevitably in the future we will have both but that is not an option at the moment.
Dont be shy, please leave your comments here and help me out.
Hi guys
As you regular followers are all aware we have just had a baby girl (now 3 weeks old) and time management has become a big issue, as in with work, family life etc it’s taken a big hit on any decent updates on the site.
Soooooo here’s an apology to you all and some good news,
Today’s updates (I’ve been busy)
Twitter feed now running in the sites lefthand bar, see the latest updates from my twitter that don’t make it onto the blog. (there’s more than usual as it’s much quicker for me to tweet)
New social networks and links added to the follow us links at the bottom of the lefthand bar.
Updates to the Jailbreaking and iOS 4.xx sections of the site, covering the latest Jailbreaking Tools and the impending iOS 4.2 release for all current iOS devices!! (go and look now!!)
Corrections on a few spelling mistakes around the site that have been bugging me like mad!! (if you spot any more please let me know and you will be rewarded)
All in all I’m pretty happy with the updates all-be-em short and quick (yet to the point I might add). It’s amazing the work on my site I can do whilst just using my iPhone! However I was supposed to be watching Scott Pilgrim vs The World while I was doing these updates and think I’ve missed some rather crucial parts of what looks to be an awesome film (watch it now!!) I’m gonna have to watch it again.
Lastly I want to say thanks to all you regular visitors and hi to all my new followers. The site is nearly at 5000 unique visitors in less than 9 months of being up. Can you help me spread the word and get it to 5000 by Christmas? That’d be wonderful.
Anyway, time to go do Daddy things again and I’ll try and keep a regular update on the site.
Have a good weekend all!
